The fabrics are manufactured using 100% recycled plastic, giving plastic waste a second life while reducing the need for new raw materials.

The World’s First Air-Purifying Awning Fabrics

Sustainability at DEXTERA goes beyond recycled materials.

Our range also includes Green® awning fabrics, the world’s first air-purifying awning fabrics designed to improve outdoor air quality.

The patented Green® technology uses titanium dioxide particles. When exposed to natural UVA light, a photocatalytic reaction occurs that helps break down harmful pollutants in the surrounding air.

According to manufacturer testing, Green® fabrics:

• help reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollution;
• reduce mould formation by up to 60%;
• provide a self-cleaning effect of approximately 70%;
• reduce the need for water, cleaning products and maintenance.
