MORE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Day and night roller blinds – control the light your way!

Day and night roller blinds are made from double-layered ZEBRA fabric featuring alternating sheer and opaque horizontal stripes. By adjusting how the stripes overlap, you can easily control the amount of light entering the room and the level of privacy.

Let in more natural light during the day, then align the opaque fabric stripes in the evening for greater privacy. To fully uncover the window, simply raise the blind.

A wide choice of fabric colours and textures makes it easy to match day and night roller blinds with both modern and classic interiors.

Choose from different roller blind systems and operating options to suit your window size, window type and individual needs.

DAY AND NIGHT ROLLER BLIND SYSTEMS
Fit-Cassette
The COMFORT roller blind system features a protective cassette and side guides that keep the fabric close to the glass. It is suitable for narrower, frequently opened windows and balcony doors, as the fabric remains stable and the system does not restrict the window from opening. Available with manual operation only.
Free-hanging without a cassette
The ABSOLUTE roller blind system has no protective cassette: the fabric rolls onto an exposed tube and hangs freely in front of the window. It is recommended for larger windows and is available with either manual or motorised operation.
Free-hanging with cassette
The ABSOLUTE roller blind system features a protective cassette that conceals the tube onto which the fabric rolls. The cassette is available in either a square or rounded design. Choose between manual operation or motorised operation with a rechargeable Motionblinds motor.
Motorised roller blinds
Control them using your smartphone or remote control, or automate their operation to suit your daily routine. You can also choose Absolute Silence – the quietest roller blind motors on the market.

Frequently asked questions
No. When the opaque stripes of the ZEBRA fabric are aligned, day and night roller blinds significantly reduce the amount of light entering the room and provide greater privacy. However, they are not designed to create complete blackout. If maximum darkness is your main priority, for example in a bedroom, we recommend choosing classic roller blinds with blackout fabric.
Double-layered ZEBRA fabric features alternating sheer and opaque horizontal stripes. By adjusting how the two layers overlap, you can precisely control the amount of light and level of privacy—from a bright, open-window effect to a significantly dimmer and more private space.
The cassette conceals the rolled-up fabric and mechanism, giving the entire blind a neater appearance. It also helps protect the rolled-up fabric from dust.
Dust day and night roller blinds regularly using a soft cloth or a soft-bristled brush. Any stains can be gently cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking or rubbing the fabric vigorously.
Classic roller blinds are made from a single layer of fabric, so the amount of light is controlled by raising or lowering the blind. Day and night roller blinds feature double-layered ZEBRA fabric with alternating sheer and opaque horizontal stripes. By adjusting how the stripes overlap, you can control light and privacy without raising the entire blind.
Yes. However, with chain-operated roller blinds, the chain must be properly tensioned and secured using the designated child-safety device. For homes with young children, motorised roller blinds without an operating chain are also available.
Yes. One of the most popular options for uPVC windows is close-fitting day and night roller blinds with a cassette and side guides. The guides keep the fabric close to the window even when it is opened or tilted. DEXTERA also recommends this option for tilt-and-turn windows.
Close-fitting roller blinds are particularly convenient for windows that are opened frequently. Free-hanging roller blinds can be installed inside the window recess, on the wall or on the ceiling, making them suitable for larger windows. They are also available with a cassette that conceals the rolled-up fabric and mechanism.
Yes. Day and night roller blinds can be operated either manually or with a motor. Rechargeable motors are also available, allowing motorised roller blinds to be installed even where no electrical connection has been provided in advance.
Depending on the system selected, day and night roller blinds can be installed directly on a uPVC window, inside the window recess, on the wall or on the ceiling. The most suitable installation method depends on the window structure and size, as well as the chosen roller blind system.
The price of day and night roller blinds depends on the product dimensions, selected system, fabric and operating method. The exact price is calculated according to the individual window measurements and chosen configuration.
