Peculiarities of the product which are considered to be its normal characteristics

The shade, pattern or other similar parameters of the products displayed in the product catalogues and/or on the website may not correspond to the actual shade, pattern or other similar parameters of the products and this shall not be considered a defect of the product.
Slight colour fading.
Different fading in direct sunlight / unlit areas of the product.
Fabrics (roller blinds, vertical blinds) are produced in batches. The shade of the fabric in each batch may vary slightly, with larger differences for some fabric types and smaller for others. Therefore, the shade of the fabric in the product may differ from the fabric in the catalogue, the shades of the fabrics ordered at different times may also differ from each other (because the batches of fabric will be different). In order for the shades of fabrics in several products to be identical, it is necessary to order those products at the same time and to indicate that the products will be installed next to each other. In this case, the fabric of the same production batch will be used for the products. When ordering products at different times, or when ordering at the same time, but without specifying that the product will be installed next to each other, a batch of fabric, as well as the shade of the fabric, may differ and this is its normal feature.
Incomplete straightening of roller blind fabric after holding it partially unwound (mechanical memory).
Absence of complete overlap of the geometry and symmetry of the fabric pattern with the edges of the product.
Slight elongation of fabrics, waves due to stress during operation (tension, thermal exposure, UV rays, humidity, etc.).
The difference in shades of painted metal / plastic parts of the same colour (slight – if RAL coincides, significant – if RAL differs).
Slight difference in shades and textures of wooden blinds, slats, bottom profiles, top profile trim, control rods.
Minor mechanical defects of wooden components of wooden blinds, not noticeable from a distance of 1m.
Painting of small mechanical defects in wooden blinds in a harmonized colour.
Painting the cut ends of wooden elements of wooden blinds in a harmonized colour.
The porosity of the cut ends of the wooden elements of plastic blinds (visible open internal structure).
Natural mechanical wear of moving, abrasive elements due to operation.

Roller blinds
Qualitative indicators. Product features

Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 2 mm.

Roller blinds for darkening the room (with Black Out fabric, fabric guides, cassette) strongly obscure the light in the room but do not guarantee absolute darkening of the room. There may be slight light penetration through the edges of the cartridge, curls in the fabric, the bottom of the lower profile. However, not penetrating through the Black Out fabric itself.
The roller blinds are mounted horizontally, regardless of the geometry of the mounting environment. If there are non-horizontal, non-vertical surfaces at the installation site (irregular niche, curved lintel, curved window, window sill, etc.), the geometry of the roller blind will not coincide with the geometry of the planes at the installation site.
The roller blind fabric may stretch slightly in the presence of sunlight or other heat sources (heating of the radiator, blowing hot air into it). The extension may be noticed as waves in the fabric or “smiles”. When the temperature regime returns to normal, that stretching should disappear.
The roller blind fabric must not be unwound, leaving less than one and a half turns on the tube. If you wrap it more, the fabric may be damaged and then the warranty shall not apply. The unwinders of the chains prevent the unwinding of the fabric.
When the materials used in the articles have a geometric pattern (stripes, squares, waves, etc.), the geometry of this pattern may not coincide with the geometry of the article, i.e. geometric shapes may not coincide with the bottom, top or sides of the fabric; this is not considered a defect of the product
The fabric must not be touched, its edges must not be scratched, the bottom profile must not be movable. Roller blinds are controlled only by motors or chains.
The light transmittance of roller blind fabric (if it is not completely blackout fabric – BlackOut fabric) is expressed as a percentage. This is average bandwidth. In day/night tissues, this transmittance is formed through visible holes and is a normal feature of the tissue. The number and arrangement of these holes are not standardized.

Nets

Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 2 mm.
The shade of the net/components may differ slightly from the shades of the samples
The shades of different products may differ (e.g. from a net frame to a net roller, from a net door as well as a net frame with a rectangular shape may differ from a net frame with a non-rectangular shape).
Shades of painted aluminium profiles and plastic parts may differ from each other.
Aluminium painted parts are considered to be of good quality if there are no inclusions larger than 1 mm, the distance between adjacent small inclusions is over 10 mm, the average amount of small inclusions is up to 1 pcs/dm2. Paint leaks are not possible, small single scratches on the paint surface are possible. No defects shall be visible to the naked eye from a distance of 3 m when observed at an angle of 60 degrees.
The net itself must not be touched, pressed or pushed to pull, as this may damage it or pull it out of the metal structure holding it. Nets (doors, rollers, pleated) are controlled by pushing them, by pulling on the holders, handles or cords provided for this purpose, not by holding the net itself.
The nets do not allow insects to pass through them from either side. Therefore, if the insects enter the room through another opening, non-net-protected area, they will not be able to leave the room through the net-protected opening. Such insects will try to run outside through where air circulates, i.e. through the net, therefore they will often be found on the inside part of the net.
If the net is installed incorrectly (if there are gaps between its aluminium profiles and the window/door frame), insects may pass through them.
The nets do not prevent insects from entering the premises through other non-net-protected structural areas of the window/door (e.g. through the holes for condensate escaping from the window profiles at the bottom of the window/door).
The anti-allergic net is denser than the usual one, as it is made of another material. As a result, its colour is different (it is usually black instead of grey), it is less translucent, and it is harder for air to circulate through it.

Horizontal wooden blinds
Qualitative indicators. Product features

Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 2 mm.

Wood irregularities not visible at a distance of 1 m or more are not considered defects.
Small wood irregularities visible up to a distance of 1 m are acceptable if they are: a) wood “zigzag joints”, visible only due to the difference in wood texture and colour (their number is not limited), b) insignificant joints visible on the lamella or top / the lower edge of the profile, c) thinning of the paint layer, change of paint colour, small bubble when the diameter of this unevenness is up to 2 mm.
LLC DEXTERA, like other products, marks wooden blinds with a trademark (sticker), therefore it is not recommended to peel off / remove it from the product, otherwise, all the consequences of removing the trademark are borne by the Buyer.

The blinds are designed for hanging loose without the wooden slats coming into contact with other surfaces (wall, window frame, curtains, etc.). If the product touches other surfaces and rubs against them in particular (e. g. frequent hand movement, product moving because of drafts), color diffusion of these friction surfaces is possible – i. e. a darker colored surface paints a lighter colored surface. E. g. if the walls are white and the product is black, the product will paint the wall, if the walls are dark and the product is light, the wall paint will darken the product. For blinds with a motor: motors are not designed to move the blind constantly, they should run simultaneously (raise/lower the blinds, turn the lamellas for up to 3-5 minutes. If the motor runs longer without interruption, its thermal protection is activated and the motor switches off. When switched off, it cools down for about 15 minutes (it does not work) and only then switches back to operating mode. These durations depend on the size of the blinds and the ambient temperature.
Permissible lamella shape irregularities: twisting – up to 2 mm/m; horizontal curvature – up to 2 mm/m; longitudinal curvature with a blind width of L≤1.5 is allowed up to 3 mm for 1.5 2.5, up to 6.35 mm; transverse curvature is not allowed. These restrictions apply to newly manufactured blinds.
Natural wood lamellas are subject to changes in humidity and heat due to changes in their shape and more than described above.

Horizontal aluminium blinds
Qualitative indicators. Product features

Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 2 mm.
The shades of the blind components may differ slightly from the shades of the samples
The shades of different parts of the product may vary slightly (e.g. lamellas, top and bottom profiles, cords, etc.)
Aluminium and steel painted parts are considered to be of good quality if there are no inclusions larger than 1 mm, the distance between adjacent small inclusions is over 10 mm, the average amount of small inclusions is up to 1 pcs/dm2. Paint leaks are not possible, small single scratches on the paint surface are possible. No defects shall be visible from a distance of 3 m when observed at an angle of 60 degrees.
The blind lamellas must not be touched, pressed, pushed, pulled or dropped – this may damage the lamellas or damage the structures holding them. The blinds are operated by pulling the control cords, rotating the control rod, pulling the control chain or by the motor, but not by touching the blind itself.
Horizontal blinds are not designed to completely obscure the room. Through the gaps between the lamellas, through the holes in the lamellas for the cords, through the edges between the blinds and the edge of the window, light can enter the room, even sunlight, although the lamellas themselves are completely blind to light penetration.
Aluminium horizontal blinds are produced of not less than the ordered height, i.e. if the ordered height of the blind does not match the repeated distance between the lamellas, the blind will be made higher to the next lamella. Therefore, the manufactured blinds will always be higher than ordered from 0 mm to 14 mm (for 16 mm wide blinds) and up to 22 mm (for 25 mm wide blinds). This must be taken into consideration when ordering the blind. This higher height of the blind can be compensated by raising the blind slightly during its use.
The aluminium blinds are designed for medium-intensity use. The use of them is very easy, the control elements – cords, bushings, reducers, etc. will wear out faster. This is normal wear and tear and shall not be covered by any warranty.

Vertical blinds
Qualitative indicators. Product features

Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 2 mm / m
The shades of the blind components may differ slightly from the shades of the samples.
The blind strips must not be pushed, pulled or lifted – this can damage the strips or damage the structures holding them. The blinds are operated by pulling the control cords, rotating the control rod, pulling the control chain or by the motor, but not by touching the blind itself.
Vertical blinds are not designed to completely obscure a room, even when using opaque (BO) fabrics. Light, even sunlight, can enter the room through the gaps between the strips, the top and bottom of the blinds, through the edges between the blinds and the edge of the window.
When the fabrics of the blinds have a geometric pattern (stripes, squares, waves, etc.), the geometry of this pattern may not align with the geometry of the product, i.e. geometric shapes may not align with the bottom, top or sides of the fabric, or the shape of the pattern in one strip with the shape in another strip. This is not considered a defect of the product
The top profile of vertical blinds must be installed straight. If straightness is not ensured, the stripes may jam, and the mechanism will not work properly.

Pleated blinds
Qualitative indicators. Product features

The folds of the blind fabric must not be pushed, pulled or lifted – this may damage the fabric or damage the structures holding it. The blinds are controlled by moving the upper or lower profile behind the dedicated handle.
Pleated blinds are not designed to completely obscure a room, even when using opaque (BO) fabrics. Through the gaps between the fabric and the glass strip, the top and bottom of the blinds, light, even sunlight, can enter the room through the holes in the fabric for the fastening cords.
When the fabrics of the blinds have a geometric pattern (stripes, squares, waves, etc.), the geometry of this pattern may not align with the geometry of the product, i.e. geometric shapes may not coincide with the bottom, top or sides of the fabric, or folds of fabric. This is not considered a defect of the product
Pleated blinds must not be detached from the glass (even when held by the handle provided for this purpose), as the springs holding the fabric may be damaged (over-stretched). The blinds are controlled by sliding the handles parallel to the glass. The upper and lower profiles must remain horizontal
The fabric of pleated blinds installed in skylights must not be pulled out of the guides, because doing so will damage the blinds.
Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 2 mm.

Protective blinds
Qualitative indicators. Product features

Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 2 mm/m
The shades of the blind components may differ slightly from the shades of the samples.
The shades of the blind components may differ slightly from each other.
The protective blind cannot function if it is icy. The ice must be removed from it before moving it by motor or manual control. Moving an icy blind may damage it.
The blinds cannot be moved directly by hand (except for models with a spring, where such control is provided), they cannot be supported by any object when partially raised.
Protective blinds gain their full strength when they are fully lowered and the straps rest on each other.

Awnings

Product dimensions can vary up to +/- 25 mm.

Wrinkles. Wrinkles can occur during fabric cutting, sewing, or when the fabric is attached to the awning frame. The light line can be seen in the wrinkles, especially on light tissues. When observed against light, this line may be confused with a dirt strip.

Fabric undulation. At the seams or at the edges of the fabric, the thickness of the fabric is twice as large. The fabric wrapped on the tube creates a higher tensile force in these places, which can result in a “undulation” effect on the fabric.

Elongation of fabric edges. The fabric of the awning is constantly tensioned, and the seams, as well as the fabric trim, provide additional reinforcement. When the fabric is folded, additional tensile force is applied at the seams and edges. This can cause undulation at the edges of the fabric.

“Honeycomb effect”. STo ensure optimal absorption of tensile forces, vertical seams are woven more densely than horizontal seams. Different yarn weaving can cause the so-called “Waffle effect”. This effect can be intensified in the presence of moisture or unfavourable light flux. To prevent this from happening, try not to spread damp cloth when possible.
In very rare cases, the “honeycomb effect” may also occur in the middle of the fabric.

Fabric thickness. The spinning process of weaving takes place under high tensile force, therefore in some cases, the yarn may break. In this case, the thickness of the fabric may vary from place to place, and under certain lighting, light areas or a knot may appear.

Facade blinds

Different angle of rotation of the strips. When the blinds are mounted next to each other or connected by a common guide, the angle of rotation of the strips may not coincide. The difference between the angle of rotation of the strips can be up to 20⁰.
“Boom effect”. For narrow and high façade blinds, there is a chance that the ladder will get between the strips when rising, therefore one edge may be in a higher position compared to the other edge. This usually occurs in blinds with a width to height ratio greater than 1: 4.
Lower profile bending. With wide blinds, the bottom profile may bend slightly visually.
Box tolerance. The allowable tolerance for bending and length of boxes is up to 5mm.

Gates

The difference in the diagonal lengths of the installed gates must not exceed 2 mm.
With a large temperature difference between outside and inside, the door segment may deflect (due to thermal expansion/contraction). The deflection should not exceed 1/150 of the gate width; if this number is exceeded, the use of the gate should be stopped immediately until the temperature difference decreases.
Condensation on the inside of the window is acceptable.
The gate is intended for use when the relative humidity does not exceed 90% inside and 100% outside.
Gate operating temperature -45⁰C – +40⁰C.
